In all my years taking pictures at Galas and also lineside have I known such heavy and constant rain throughout the day spoiling what would have been a fantastic last day of a rail gala.

I hope this doesnt put off the "Betton Grange" group from having a SSSIV in a couple of years time !!

I suddenly realised that the line would get clagged out with the exhaust from the lead engine and there was nothing I could do about it.
