No details of when this was taken but the coach cleaning sheds in the distant right are well intact.
Taken from the Railway crossing Bridge on the station - LMS Stanier class 4 2-6-4 MT Tank - 42485 picking up passengers possibly on one of the last passenger services to Blackburn which finished in 1957.
42485 was a local Darwen engine until 15/04 /1961.
